I only went to day 1 on Friday with Bitter End. I have no desire to be at fests for more than a day. I did this at the last 4 s and f. I am usually there to see either some friends from the east coast or to see what left of the Malfunction Roster. This year Ceremony and Bitter End both played and destroyed it on Friday. I also enjoyed Soul Search and Down presser’s set. I didn’t tape too many bands due to the fact that every jackass from southern California is on stage. It didn’t help that there were also 12 photographers standing around on the side and taking up space. It’s funny you would think there were 1000 of pics floating around but so far I’ve only seen stuff from Fred Hammer and Dan Rawe. I mean it’s cool you want to be on stage with your friends but what was the point of the all access pass if anyone with a raiders jersey can just stand there. It’s like we get it you’re friends with all of the bands that are playing. I was watching some of the footage I got and noticed the same big ape on the side of the stage with his jaw gaping open. One of my friends asked me to film them but I couldn’t even get on stage because again, the same 40 kids were on stage for every band.
Ok here is what I picked up. I picked up a ceremony record of their second ep with a limited sound and fury cover. Nothing fancy but I did want to add it to my collection.
I also picked up Soul Search new ep on Triple BBB records with the limited Outburst tribute cover. I also got a t shirt with the same picture.
I also picked up well took a copy of the first Bitter End records Mind in Chains on orange vinyl. We had given Death wish the extra covers keep in mind with all the colors of the covers they actually cost more than the actual vinyl and recording. This was the first record I put out when I moved to southern California.
I also picked up a remission ep on react records, they sound like Verbal Assault.
I think next year we are going to resurrect Summer Slam and I’m going to bring out Time Flies and Count Me Out to do a final west coast show for Indecision. ;)

I went with Internal Affairs on their 2007 tour to Japan. They played a total of 10 shows all over the country. We even went down as far south as Okinawa. It was one of the greatest times in my life. Japanese people are the nicest and most respectable people out there. I think I met Dobek (who lives in Japan but is not Japanese) at one of the fests over there. This is the best dude to buy record from because he actually knows how to pack a record. I was so impressed. He even packed it correctly. I picked up another copy of Back with A Bong on color and the Condemned 84 lp on white vinyl. Are they still playing that fest over in CT?

these past 2 weeks

These past 2 weeks, I saw the following bands play from what is left of the Malfunction Roster. Bitter End played La 3 times. They are probably the best younger bands that are incredible to watch live. its like a perfect well oiled machine. I ve seen them with 2 different lineups in one week. (2 shows were with Sound and Fury and Strife and the other one is the beginning of its west coast tour with Ringworm, New Lows, and Nails). I love the fact they are still touring and still putting out great music.

Ceremony headlined day 1 of Sound and Fury and were so much fun to watch. Despite all the crappy sound difficulties the show and response was insane. Congrats to them on signing to Matador! I cant wait to hear the new record.

I saw Trash Talk play with Fucked Up and freaking annihilated downtown Los Angeles. I only expect bigger things to come from them as well as their own label TTC.

Cold Cave (Members of AN) was probably the best performance I had seen them do last Wednesday. Almost all of give up the ghost was there to watch Wes and Co take control. It was very inspiring.

Reign Supreme has announced that they are signing to Media Skare so hopefully they will tour the west coast and become an active band again.
Piece by Piece is still playing shows and have released their latest on Reaper records.
Secret People has members of Right On and are tearing up Nor Cal. Hopefully I get to see them soon!

I must’ve seen Avail more times than I can remember. I put them up there with Fugazi and Shelter, a band I’ve seen over 20 times. Avail was originally from Reston Va and actually had a different singer. The band had relocated to Richmond Va and their drummer Tim Barry took over for vocal duties. Smart move too, they blew up and became one of the bigger bands to emerge from VA. The last time I think I saw Avail perform was either a show at Twisters in Richmond Va or with Into Another at the Insect Club near Va Beach. I picked up these reissues on EBay for under 7 bucks each. Really cheap considering each album is 2 lps. These were the reissues that No Idea did for Jade Tree. I also picked up their first record for 6 bucks. I know it was reissued on cd but I am not sure if they reissued the vinyl. Anyone remember that crappy demo they had with the Chinese symbol on it?

Type O Negative – Box Set for Dead Again

The first time I saw Type O Negative was actually with Shelter at the Bayou in Georgetown around 1994. They were really good and as much as I love Shelter, they did horribly in front of the Type O fans. I have never seen Carnivore live, even when they used to do the once a year reunions in NYC. I still kick myself for not going. They never did the reunion tour on the west coast or I just lost interest. I’ve seen Type O Negative a few times with my cousin Kristin in New Jersey. She was a big metal head in the late 80’s and 90’s. When I used to visit the my family up north we used to travel to see allot of shows in Jersey and NYC. Unlike DC allot of the hardcore bands were playing with the metal bands. What is funny she still has all of her metal shirts and will not give them up.
The box set has 3 lps are on color a DVD (best part of the box set) and a size large t shirt. I wear XL and honestly the t shirt looks like dog crap. It’s cool for 40 bucks and I think it is out of print but you can get it on Amazon. Dead again is not their best record but it is a cool item to add to a collection.

Rotting Out – Street Prowl
My friend Mike was in a band called Rotting Out. He left the band last summer due to the fact he couldn’t tour full time. Their bassist took on the vocal duties and has changed the band around. This band has no ex members of any prevalent band from before. They just took over from where Mike had stopped and have dominated the Los Angeles scene. Next to Touché Amore this is one of the biggest bands in the Los Angeles hardcore punk scene.
Their debut lp, Street Prowl, is more in the vein of punker suicidal tendencies. Walter Delgado has taken over for vocal duties and his lyrics are a bit personal. In fact they might be too personal for my tastes, but live they do shred. Anytime they perform it is a stage diving frenzy. This lp is out on 6131 records. They did a nice job on the packaging, full color poster and jacket. The record release version is just blank labels numbered out of 50. I know they will be one of the bigger bands to perform at this year’s Sound and Fury. 6131 are taking preorders for this along with their side project band Minority Unit right now.

TWO TONE
In high school I used to hang out with a girl name Angela Mitchell. She hung with a few girls that were on the borderline of skin, Goth and punk. Every high school usually has that same group of weird alternative girls. You know the ones who wore Docs or monkey boots. Well Angela and her friends were really heavily into SKA. I think we saw the toasters, Bad Manners, Murphy’s Law and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones a handful of times. Even one of our friends started a band called the Pie tasters. So for nostalgic reasons I started picking up some Ska lps for super cheap.
I bought this Selectors lp on eBay for 9.99. I picked up the Madness lp in DC for 4 bucks and a Specials record at a local store near me for 9 bucks. I also picked up the English Beat lp at Amoeba during Peter Murphy’s live in store appearance.

I have never seen the Smiths live. I have seen Morrissey perform over a dozen times. In LA he is a god and he takes advantages of his fans. The last tour here was 95 bucks a ticket.
I have seen Mike Joyce perform with the Buzzcocks at the old 930 Club. I have seen Johnny Marr perform with Electronic, Modest Mouse and THE THE. I just saw Andy Rourke at the local Smiths convention which I got in for free thanks to my buddy Furn. So here is some recent Smiths vinyl I just picked up. If anybody has Morrissey Vauxhall and I for trade or sale hit me up.

The first time I met Dave Brown was at the Safari Club in DC. He used to hang with all of the DC Skins as well as the local hardcore kids. He still runs his label Vicious Circle which still puts out releases periodically. Dave also used to work at this record store in Maryland called Vinyl Ink.
Vinyl Ink, Smash, Orpheus, Kemp Mill and Record convergence were my stomping grounds to buy anything that was remotely punk or hardcore in the DC area. Dave worked behind the counter and was always a good person to recommend up and coming bands.
When we ran the label, Dave was like a silent partner and he inputted allot of his knowledge into it. In fact majority of the test press covers for the label were made by Dave. I traded allot with Dave throughout the years. I got my Gorilla Biscuits on Purple and my Turning Point on Clear from him. Dave Brown is one of my closest friends and is someone I respect.
A few years back he released his book “Adult Crash” which showcases various photos that were taken by him at hardcore shows from 1987 to 2008. I think the book and the eps are out of print. I know for a fact he is doing another book with a few collaborators. He sent me a package which he signed to me. I nearly laughed my ass off when I read it “To Tru Enjoy the Book! … I still hate Forbes”
(Forbes was a nice kid from DC who we unfortunately picked on when we did the band BARFIGHT. Forbes was so shaken up, he got his dad from the CIA to pay Dave a visit at his work. Again sorry Forbes.)
Well not only did I get a signed book from Dave he also sent me actual prints of pictures he had taken of Raw Deal and Turning Point. I love these photos. I need to get these framed along with my Carry On artwork (see earlier entry). I know for a fact he is releasing a new book in the next year or so.
He also sent me a copy of social distortions live oop double lp. This is so good and completely out of print. I just heard the new Social Distortion on Epitaph. YUCK!
Dave still puts out records occasionally he sent me a copy of his latest release called the South Side Stranglers. A punk band from Richmond Va which has members of Government Warning. Great snotty punk and like most of Dave’s past releases will probably be out of print soon.

Touché Amore – Parting the Seas between Brightness and Me

Touché Amore is a band from the valley of Los Angeles. The members are a motley ensemble of dudes which actually works in their favor. They don’t seem to be up in the latest trends ie covered in tattoos, wearing bobby cupcakes street wear, Nike doinks.
In fact they remind me something out of the positive force scene in Washington DC. I felt like these were the kids that used to go to all of the Wilson Center shows. The ones you see at the local record shops that are buying the Holy Rollers and Slant 6 albums instead of picking up the Cro Mags lps. They are right now the alternative in hardcore and punk music.
The fact is this band is incredible live. Not since American Nightmare have I seen kids lose their shit. They hang on to every word their singer Jeremy Bolm is saying. And I use the word singing loosely, in fact he is screaming. His voice is cracking and in some parts it sounds like he is going horsed. They had a previous lp on 6131 records which I think is now out of print. Their new lp is entitled Parting The Sea Between Brightness And Me. This was released this week on Deathwish Inc. I picked up the clear version from their record release show in Burbank Ca at a record store called Back side. This new record destroys their last one. The production on it is top notch. The layout on it reminds me of mid 90’s Jade tree lps. In fact their guitarist Nick did the layout. He also does layouts for huge artists like Britanny Spears etc. There is a deluxe version but those still haven’t been shipped out yet. I also got my preorders in the mail today as well. The production on it is top notch. If you want to hear the opposite of what’s going on in hardcore today then I suggest picking this up. Below is the record release show which I filmed, enjoy.

These sold out the first time so Cyclopean just did another pressing of it (green vinyl for mailorder). I saw both of these bands on their last tour at the BLVD in LA. This is grind core to the fullest and it’s really good. Neither band had these when they were on tour. Cyclopean records are ran by the singer of Iron Age and he is actually doing some amazing stuff with the label. I picked up the Green and Wood lp. This has a huge Black Sabbath influence. Beard metal people will eat this up I’m surprised this hasn’t been rerelease on southern lord yet. The best part of this is the records came in less than a week. And as a bonus they threw in 2 copies of the new green and wood ep. I gave my extra copy to Marlon. I love it when labels actually send stuff super quick its great.

No Warnings “Ill Blood”

I’ve been going to shows for the last 24 years and the one thing I have noticed is that no matter what happens in hardcore there is always going to be drama. I think it’s natural for hardcore kids to be either bullies or wimps. It’s like who can pick on the person smaller than you. Personally I could care less because fights at shows are just dumb it never solves anything and it creates a division.
Because of that drama No Warnings “Ill Blood” was spawned. When the band was around you either loved them or hated them. I actually was a huge fan because they took Madball’s place. The first time I saw No Warning was at Cbgb’s in front of a crowd of 20 people. Seeing Ben on stage and the vocals that came out of him was an eye opener. I think everyone was floored and their stage performance was so intense. Their first ep came out on Martyr and Bridge 9 rereleased the cd version. Ill blood came out on Bridge 9 and after a year it was out of print. I have the pbj version as well as the test pressing. I didn’t know Bridge 9 had a warehouse sale of a few records they had lying around. I stupidly missed out and hunting down this record became a chore for me. My friend Brad at Thick Skin needed some cash to help pay for his steroids or Botox. I paid 40 bucks for it and to me it was worth it. Until I found out them it might be reissued with their second record Suffer Survive.

Brutal is all I can say. Imagine if Cave In rerecorded Jupiter and completely threw it in the garbage. Add black metal Carcass heart work type vocals type vocals and music and you have White Silence. You don’t even have to be a Cave In fan to like this. Hydra head did a special pressing of this on White Vinyl out of 100 for their buddies at Vacation Vinyl. I picked this up and an orange copy of this as well. And for the Jupiter fans there are a few songs which crossover to that era as well.

Foundation – When the Smoke Clears
I doubt ill preorder records after this summer. I hate newer bands because I’m old and grumpy. Also allot of the newer bands, well sortve suck. I still like going to shows to film them. A band I taped a year ago and I have seen a few times were Atlanta’s Foundation. This is not the same band from the 90’s from New York with members of Texas Is the Reason. This band sounds like the continuation of Buried Alive. They just released their new lp on Bridge 9 records. With the exception of Ceremony, Underdog, AF, and Cruel hand I didn’t think they signed hardcore bands, just kidding. We are in the era of NYHC where more bands are trying to sound like the roadrunner acts from the 90’s. This lp is not bad if you’re into the genre. And when I mean genre I mean hardcore. I actually listened to it twice while I was lifting weights. As long as Foundation doesn’t break up and continues to tour heavily they will be one of the next big hardcore bands. I preordered 2 of the 3 colors and picked up the live and repress of Have Heart’s first record.

I picked up a few lps from Smash Records relocated now in Adams Morgan DC. I picked up 2 Smiths Lps single, acid reign, remission and the Pagen Babies lp. I never owned this and I picked it up for relatively cheap. If you ever visit DC make sure to hit up Smash you will not be disappointed. Matt has a huge selection of t shirts vinyl and cds and allot of out of print stuff for relatively cheap.

ICE AGE – NEW BRIGADE – DAIS RECORDS

Ice Age is a band from Denmark which features really young punks still in their teens. Imagine if the stokes, Joy Division met members of B’last then you would have Ice Age. Gibby released the US version of this on his very own label DAIS Records. These are already out of print and this is the second press. I stupidly didn’t order it from DAIS I waited too long and it already has sold out. Good luck in getting it because it is sold out everywhere and this is the second pressing. They are touring the east coast this summer in June. If someone can get me a t shirt let me know ill PayPal you asap. Full color package and lyric sheet along with velum layout, DAIS did another quality release.
I got my copy from In sound distribution. Who didn’t use my PayPal address they had my old address on file from 2 years ago. It was sent to my old townhouse where I lived with Garth. I drove over to the old address and saw that the place was in foreclosure. My old landlord is a producer for those god awful Tyler Perry movies. There it was sitting in the front patio for the last 2 weeks. I was shocked the record wasn’t warped or destroyed.

The Templars and Joy Division

I was at my favorite record store in Huntington Beach and picked up this out of print Templar’s record on the now defunct GMM records. TKO is still my favorite record store on the west coast besides Amoeba. They have so much stuff its insane especially if youre into punk and Oi. They also have a descent metal selection and I’m talking about real metal not stuff like Bon Jovi and Kix Blow My Fuse. In addition I picked up Joy Division’s Still LP for 8 bucks. Daniel from Bitter End is in town so I know we will definitely hitting up TKO. Also the label still puts out records. They just release the Poison Idea and the Meat men eps.

I was in Northern Virginia to celebrate my birthday with my parents and to go to my best friend’s wedding in Richmond Va. My buddy Jason (Count Me Out) was getting married. I went back to the east coast and had a few days up in the DC area to hang out with a few friends and do some record shopping. The first 10” I bought for 3 dollars was the Charge demo. A label from overseas put there demo onto 10”s of wax. This was one of my favorite demos from the early 2000. Charge sounds exactly like Burn. Imagine Burn with Bad Brains ideology. Their demo in my opinion is my favorite release of theirs. I just don’t know what happened with them, they should’ve been one of those bands that should’ve have been huge, but things just simply never panned out for them.
I got 2 10 inches from my good friend Linas. He does artwork for Dom at a389 records and he had some extra copies and he gave them to me when I got home. One is the Pulling Teeth test press for their older release. Pulling Teeth has our old soundman Mike Riley on vocals. When we used to do shows in the dc area Mike Riley actually did sound for us. This is his latest band and unless you have been sleeping under a rock they have 5 releases out on Death wish Inc, A389, Chainsaw Safety and their latest on Fire starter. I hung out with Mike for a little bit at Jason’s wedding.
This other 10” was a limited release for a389 yearly showcase. It has Integrity, Pulling Teeth plus from prior A389 Record showcases. Very limited and are now out of print.

Linas does artwork for Dom’s expanding empire. If you haven’t check out Linas Garsys art work, Go to his website www.linasgarsys.com He had a bunch of stuff he did artwork for and had extra copies so he gave them to me when I went home to DC / NOVA a few weeks ago.
Between the signing of some of the heavier doom bands and the repress of bands from the past this label has all the markings of becoming one of the best labels to ever emerge from Baltimore. Also if youre a collector Dom does short runs of vinyl and they usually sell out pretty quick.
My favorite current band on his roster is Seven Sisters of Sleep. They are now on Southern Lord.
I didn’t even know Linas did the artwork for one of the hardest working Los Angeles metal bands called Xibalba. Nate sings for them and is the savior of the current Los Angeles hardcore scene. Too bad in true Linas fashion he forgot to credit himself on the artwork. Xibalba is also now on Southern Lord records as well.
Linas also threw in a copy of a Pulling Teeth test press as well as a limited 10” which he did posters and artwork for one of the a389 records showcases.
Day of Mourning is Dom’s old band which I think became Haymaker? Oak is a doom band from Baltimore who I actually watched a few years back at a local Baltimore benefit that was set up by my friend Brittany for a passing of a friend.

Ok I hate limited editions items; it’s been so saturated to the point where I just don’t care anymore. But Reaper did do a cool job on this they did this for 2 great blogs I follow and that’s for tee till death and Double Cross. This is the package for double cross. These are limited to 50 has a different cover and comes with a t shirt. It’s a newer design which is good, and it’s not a rip off of some older design. This is out of 50 and I think these sold out pretty quickly. Hand numbered different dust sleeve and this is my 10th super touch t shirt. I need to start unloading some of these soon.

Just like the tee till death edition this is out of 50 and comes with a t shirt. Instead the shirt is a different design and is out of 50. This shirt is actually burgundy which looks good. It reminds me of my least favorite football team the Washington Redskins, the Oakland Raiders will be number 2. But still the t shirt looks good and Reaper did another nice job on this preorder release.

Dom does a389 records and sets up showcases for his bands on his label. He also plays in pulling teeth and was in slumlords and my favorite band…..commin correct. j/k…….He has some of the best Rick Ta Life tour stories. If you ever have a chance to ask him please do they are pretty funny.
He is also a father and a husband in the city that bleeds Baltimore. I am not sure if these were for his birthday or it was an A389 showcase. My buddy Linas picked this ep up for me a year and half ago when Integrity plays it’s once a year east coast show. It’s the in contrast of sin ep but it has a limited cover and it says in contrast of Dom. Limited to 50 and it has Dom’s face on the cross.
He also picked me up an integrity harder they fall demo flexi pressed by our good friends at Organized Crimes records. This is when Tom Confront was in the band. Limited to 150 copies I’m sure this thing is sold out already. It is a flexi so I doubt if it even sounds good, I won’t play it because knowing my luck ill drop it on the ground and my dog will rip it apart. It is still a really cool thing to have and add to the collection.

Revelation is smart to do some more Reissues of their back catalog on color. Everyone knows they did reissues on the Quicksand, Burn, and Youth of Today eps. They also reissued the first Elliot Lp. I was pretty happy about that because stupidly I sold my copy a few years back for a measly 50 bucks. I was surprised they didn’t reissue the Super touch lp due to the band getting back together. I know revelation has these at their warehouse so they should have them up for sale soon

The Old Firm Casuals

Released on Oi the Boat records. This new band features Lars from Rancid and Casey Watson from Never Healed / Look Back and Laugh plus, I’m not going into the politics whether or not Lars is a skin head or not. I just don’t care. I know Casey is an awesome dude, In fact one of my old Agnostic Front t shirts used to belong to him. The dude is awesome when it comes to trading so I was eager to check out his new band. I loved Never Healed and Look Back and Laugh. It’s just an ep of 3 songs. It is pretty good, I wish the recording was a lil louder especially on the drums.
The first interaction I have ever had with Lars was at the safari club. I think he rolled with H2o and Crown of Thornz. This was in the mid 90’s in DC. When H20 was playing Lars just appeared out of nowhere and started skanking it up. This was when Rancid was blowing up so to see him at a small show like this was pretty crazy
To go back to the band they are playing with Sheer Terror in May so I will definitely check them out live. Is it good? Yes its better than his other bands, I’m neither a huge rancid fan nor a bastards fan. This came on limited gold vinyl which is out of 100. I also picked one up on black. So if you like Oi then yes you should pick this up. I can also see this record going out of print really soon too.
Oi the boat has another band everyone should pick up by Stamford Bridge. It has members of the Templers in it. good rock with a female singer.

The first time I met Corey was when Count Me Out came out to the west coast for their tour with Carry on in 2000. We kept in touch though out the years. When I did Malfunction Records we released Internal Affairs and Piece By Piece. I went on weekends with both bands and even went to Japan in 2008 with IA. If I was still running a label I wouldve signed Absolute Madness.

Corey is one of my best and truest friends. If I was ever going to get married he would be up there as my best man. Last night was his last night here. We watched UFC 129 at his friends Ray’s house (the picture is corey and ray)

This morning I was helping him pack and move for his new adventure. As we were saying goodbye he handed me an envelope. In it was the original Brian Burke artwork for Carry On’s roll with the punches. Incredible thats all I can say.

Beady Eye – Different Gear Still Speeding
From the ashes of Oasis comes Beady Eye. Liam comes back minus his brother Noel. This album is really good and if you like Oasis then you will love this. I picked this up at Amoeba and they were already on tour when this was released. There will be a box set version of this on April 16th for record store day.
A friend of mine told me the reason he names the band Beady Eye was to be next to the Beatles catalog in the stores, good theory except record stores hardly exist outside of LA anymore. My friend also said Liam was in the record store one day and all of these people went over to shake his hand and take pictures with him. He said Liam looked at them in disgust and left the store after the session was over.

Almost 10 years ago I discovered the Saints from the original owner of Smash Records. Bobby introduced me to the Saints and told me to pick up their LP. I have a few of their other LPs but not their first. This band is from Australia and one of the best punk bands to have come from the down under. The record I’m stranded has been reissued and repressed a few years back. I found this repress or boot at my local record store Freak Beats. I was doing some hunting during the aftermath of record store day. It was 24 dollars but I was pretty happy to add this piece of vinyl to my shrinking collection.

Soul Search is one of my favorite California Hardcore Bands right now. Along with Stick Together, Praise and Remission they are part of the new breed of hardcore. This demo was supposed to come out a while back but unfortunately Marlon at hard press had one of the worst years ever. This demo EP didn’t come out because Marlon had a appendicitis. Luckily he recovered so their good friends at Thick Skin Records decided to take over the reins and take on the task of putting this record out. Since this is their first release they had to endure all of the mishaps of dealing with all the pains most labels have to go thru. It takes allot of effort to put out a record and luckily this label was smart enough to know what not to do. They didn’t take preorders and are not making a million versions of these records to sell it. This demo is floating all over the internet, but this is the vinyl version where there is 500 on black and 100 on gold for the first press. Get these quick because it will probably be sold out in a few months. Soul Search are now on Triple BBB records and will have an ep coming out soon. Check them out on their upcoming full US tour this summer and Europe this fall.

Cold Cave – Cherish the Light Years

There was a special preorder for this where the first 50 copies are the actual test pressing for this record. For a big label like matador this is really cool. I luckily got one before it sold out this record leaked out a month ago and it is the surprise hit of 2011. No, this isn’t hardcore and no this isn’t American Nightmare. It’s more on the lines of New Order meets Depeche Mode. For their second record, it surpasses their first lp which came out 2 years ago. Catacombs is the hit single for me, the album flows really well. Meatheads will hate this album, so that is another plus in my book.

Ok the legendary Chuck Dukowski had a few eBay auctions of rare SST stuff for sale. This was from his 4th round of auctions and I think the super high bidding stopped. This is for the Descendants album All. This is the actual test press and I got it for 100 bucks. I was pretty excited to get this. I have only seen them perform 2 times in my life. On the “everything sucks tour” in 96 with my pal Jason and on the so uneventful warp tour that following summer. Now that I live in LA they are finally playing a local show with Bad Religion and Rise Against. My best friend Natalie got us tickets for this Thursdays show.

I also picked up the reissues of Everything Sucks on color vinyl, considering that the only thing worth buying from Epitaph these days. Hopefully the Descendents will play early so we can leave early. One of the perks of living in California is the amount of shows. Super touch – Live @ WNYU

You have to be the ultimate fan to put this release out. This is the WNYU session of Super touch from 1988. I know yours truly has bootlegged this as well as passed it on to other tape traders. I got my copy from my buddy in NYC. I didn’t even know this was being pressed on vinyl till I saw a test press of it (limited to 50) go on eBay for 300 bucks. So when the preorders of this went up I ordered it immediately. In fact I ordered 2 of them. They come on red vinyl and the layout and graphic designs are done by Tony Pops from In My Eyes and Radio Silence
It looks great and its pretty much the same sound quality but it is a live recording. I hope Horror Hotel does more releases. Huge props to a brand new label that took preorders on a release and sent it out like they said they were going to. That’s usually a plus in my book. Oh yeah this is numbered out of 500. I’m sure these won’t exist after a year. So get it cheap while you can or pay a hella of a lot later.

I got this at the record swap for 5 bucks. Yes this album isnt as good as their other releases. But it is out of print and this was put out on Madonna's now defunct label Maverick. You have to give h2o credit, they started as a side project and they rose thru the ranks to be on a huge major label. It is on green vinyl and it does come with a lyric sheet.

Get High -- I picked this lp up for 2 bucks at the Hellfish record swap. This lp is great, (fans of Fastbreak take note) Al Core from American Nightmare plays on this. Big Wheel and Espo put this out. I never seen this on vinyl so for 2 bucks its a great find.

SLAPSHOT -- live @ so36. I picked this lp and a few others for 5 bucks at this years HellFish Record Swap. A really cool event where people unload their goods. I wish Hellfish did this every few months, the original singer of rotting out was selling his collection for super cheap. I picked this up as well as the greatest hits picture disc for 5 bucks each. This is on the now defunt label We Bite Records from Europe. I love slapshot so picking this up for me for super cheap was a steal. I still need to pick up Old Tyme Hardcore and 16 Valve Hate on vinyl.

The Sounds -- Something to Die For. This is the Sounds fourth release and I got it from Side One Dummy. Yes the same label that runs the warp tour. This is one of those bands who shouldve been huge but for some reason they didnt. They had a semi small hit in the Geico Cavemen commercials. I have seen them a few times live. They are really energetic and fun. Their new record is called Something to Die For and its actually really good. Really catchy, if you are fan of Blondie check them out. I still need their first 2 lps on vinyl.

This is the reissue on Taang. I have the original on Patriot Records. The reissue is actually out of print. My buddy Furn actually held for me and I got it for a measly 5 bucks. Pete Morcey (100 Demons) sang for this and its one of the classic American Oi bands. There are some differences from the original. The back of the reissue has a live picture but other than that there isn’t too much change. I like it when reissues look pretty much like the original. I know for a fact if you want this record Taang sells them for 50 bucks or you can pick up new copies from merch distributor shop shogun.

Nothing to Prove. The first time I saw H20 perform was at their second show which was in Philadelphia. They played instead of the Cro Mags (who were in ruins around this time). You have to remember the time period in the mid 90’s. Every band was either mosh metal or they went the way of the road runner acts. H20 was a melodic hardcore band. We got to know the band through our friends who used to do the old Safari Club shows in DC. Allot of my friends either love this band or hate it. I still only like their first lp but this one is pretty good for a bands 5th record. It is better than the last 3 records. I won this lot off of eBay for 25 bucks so now I have all 3 colors. I know bridge 9 has repressed the record since the original pressing had been out of a print for a few months.

Rival Schools is back with their second lp entitled Pedals. There was an unreleased second lp after United by Fate and it was forgettable. I can see why it was shelved. This lp is actually really catchy and is on more of the melodic tip as United By Fate. I like it way more than his Strokes inspired project Walking Concert. Ring it out is the first track and its super catchy. I hope Rival Schools get its just due because right now a band like them needs to exist in today’s modern music. I can’t tell if I am just getting to old or if music in general is just so awful I cringe when I turn on the radio. They will be playing in LA a week after the Sheer Terror shows so I am pretty excited to see them. The last time I saw Rival School was at the Echo in 2008. Walter was great on stage and was asking if anybody had any extra copies of SLIP on vinyl. They covered the Smith’s cover that Quicksand did a cover of How Soon is Now? The preorder I did came with 3 lps a cd t shirt and a zip up hoodie. I paid 100, bucks it came on time that’s all I care about. Each picture disc is limited to 500 copies and the lp is limited to 2000 copies. I am going to see if I can get the band to autograph the cd when they play in town. Also as a bonus came a silk screen poster that is autographed by the entire band. Pretty cool. Does anyone know if any Distributor in the us is going to get the walking concert lp on vinyl?

Ok I just got a slew of records from a person who selling stuff off of the live wire board. It ranges from as it stands to eye for an eye to groove to the living on the edge comp. each one around 3 to 4 bucks. Allot of it some might consider junk but I personally think they are some of the lost bands from the 90’s. When the Groove eps came out allot of my friends were huge fans. To this day my friend Martin in Argentina and I still talk about how great this record is. Allot of this stuff was really ahead of its time. The as it stands ep is still to me one of the hardest eps ever and the lyrics were always over the top. This band blows most of the stuff that is out today. The singer of As it stands is also the same singer from the va Group Mayday. Yep the band that did the split with Integrity and completely annihilated them. Also in the stack of records was Channel (Nate from converge / Jesuit / doom riders) second ep. I still like their live demo and first 7 inch more but its is interesting that a band was actually trying to progress. The first Channel ep was on Jamie hate breed’s label Stillborn.
Another ep was Point Of View a band who must’ve opened up every mouthpiece show in jersey and in philly. My buddy and pro skateboarder Vern Laird was their second singer. He didn’t sing on there ep but he did do a demo which I am still on the hunt for. Great ep.
Also in the pile was the Awake ep which smorgasbord just released the discography out on ITunes now. To round it up was some west coast bands game face and point blank.

DANZIG 777 I Luciferi

Danzig 777 came out almost 10 years ago. I remember when this album was released cause it was the same time Samhain started their reunion tour with Danzig. Danzig did do an autograph session at the local Tower records in Washington DC. Well someone brought in a Misfits bootleg to have him sign it and in true Danzig fashion he flipped the table over and proceeded to choke the guy out. After security escorted the assailant away, the autograph session started to continue again. I had the new Danzig CD and a few original Misfits records for him to sign. I thought he was going to break the lps in half but he was super cool about it. In fact he let me walk out with the Tower Billboard the store made for the autograph session. It is still at my parents house in Virginia. Well I picked this lp up at amoeba in Hollywood for 60 bucks. I know its steep but I never seen it before and it is limited to 500 copies. Pretty cool, it comes with screened artwork and the pocket sleeve is hand numbered.

Vegas has a new record (reissue but new to me) on HellFish Records. Yes it is another Holy Terror type band, just like Rot in Hell its actually pretty good. Brutal and heavy. Hellfish did an awesome job on the packaging and my camera shots doesnt do it justice. Side A is the actual ep and Side B is a live recording which is awful compared to side A. I only caught them once live when they played with Integrity a few months back. I heard they played in the area last week with Dwid's Psywarfare but I couldnt make it out. Limited to only 300 measly copies better pick this up quick.

Disengage -- Looking Back EP

You take members of Title Fight and Cold World and do a simple hardcore band and its called Disengage. The band is much better live then this recording. In fact the recording doesnt do them justice. They were so good live and are another hit from Wilkes Barre. I dunno how many of these are pressed but I doubt its nothing over a 1000.

Free Spirit- Free Yourself 7" on Triple B Records/Lockin Out Records. Can someone say "straight ahead"? When I heard this band for the first time I though I was listening to some unreleased SA track. Man, am I a sucker for bands like this, short fast sincere songs. I think all band should play like this and not 15 min boring songs about how life is a living hell and you can't wait to die, fuck off. I can't wait to see these guys with disengage(the only bands I'm gonna see at the show) this week.

Disengage- Look Back 7" on Back To Back Records. Now I've been going to show since the mid 90's and I remember when bands sounded like this. Sure they weren't the best recorded song but they were sincere in what they said, I can appreciate that in this record. This band features Ned from Title Fight and Dan of Cold World fame. Now if your not to busy listening to your metal crap records, do your self a favor and pick this record up here and get it a listen.

Stick Together- No More Games 7" on Back To Back Records. When I heard Hoodrack had a new band and they were Straight Edge I had to check them out. I'm a sucker for SXE bands especially good one's and not those metal or thug crap going round today, fuck that! So as soon as the demo went up for order on the BTB store I got 2 copies(both different color paper but ended up getting both on the same color paper, bummer) since I love tape demo's and have a huge tape collection, viva the tape format, fuck CD-R's. I don't know if this band has that "lockin out" style people are saying they do, all I know its fuck good. Sucks they aren't on this tour with Free Spirit and Disengage but regardless get their record and tell me what you think. I guess I was one of the lucky one's to get all 3 colors since they had the little mishap with the orange vinyl, oh well.

Common Cause- S/T 7". This thing is awesome, better than their previous stuff. Daniel is one amazing frontman, keeping it sincere since the eyeball days. Get this record now

Betrayed- Suffering 7". I've been a fan of Betrayed since the get go so when these went up for pre order I did what every HC kid that love ltd. vinyl do...pre order. 6 or so months later I finally get them, sure they took a while, more than I expected, but I got them nonetheless. I like this record a lot, I'm not a fan of suffering but that's my opinion only because I love fast short songs(I hope this doesn't affect the band from writing more fast short songs). But this record is sure worth getting, so do it now. I've had some friends tell me they don't like this record but that's only because they're old and out of touch or too young, dumb, full of cum.

Not Sorry- Our Choices 7". I've been a fan of John's bands for a long time now(the disaster, head on, etc...) and when I heard he was finally frontin' a band I had to check this out. What I found was an amazing youth crew band comprised of some talented east coast people(now part of the west coast). Get this record now. Don't forget to get their demo 7" from Lifeline Records

Remission- Winds of Promise 7". All I can say about this record is "WOW!". Well and this...this records is the shit. Now I've heard the demo and lp but when I heard this new 7" I was floored. These guys are from Chile and play this style to the "T", now Thanks to React! these cats can get more exposure so go and get this record now.

GIVE- boots of faith 7". I love this band, that is all. Now go get this awesome record here

This band is Integrity minus Dwid. More in the vein of Slayer with Discharge type vocals. I picked this up from a friend for 10 bucks. Its on white vinyl and decided to give it another chance. It actually pretty decent. I think if it came out now the band would probably be huge. Pretty good find in my opinion.

Victims -- Killer. I picked this record and another one of theirs on Manic Ride for 4 bucks. I never really gave them a listen before and Marlon told me its not the same band that was released on Deathwish a few years back. Its more in the vein of a punker version of Motorhead. Its pretty good and I can see why this band has so many releases under its belt. The artwork on it is great, which to me is so important when it comes to releases besides the music.
When we did the label, Linas expressed how much he wanted the artwork to shine thru, especially when it comes to being sold in the used bins. The more fucked up the cover the more likely someone will pick it up.

I am real skeptical when it comes to Holy Terror bands. They usually suck, and are Integrity clones. I can only take so much of the devil imagery and the wannabe Dwid style vocals. I never heard of Rot In Hell, till my friends and former label partners (Linas Garsys and Mark Anthony) from back home on the east coast told me about their live show. Rot In Hell played the A389 record's showcase in Baltimore with Integrity and a ton of other bands. Linas told me that he had purchased a limited Rot In Hell package which was a Ski Mask packed with records plus other items. (I wish he picked me up one.) He also told me that they were pretty incredible live and I should check them out. When I ordered the SQRM record from Deathwish I decided to pick up their latest LP. Linas and Mark were right, this record is fucking brutal and I think its actually better then the latest Integrity record. It reminds me of older Cleveland bands like Face Value and Integrity, but if Human Furnace from Ringworm was doing vocals. As usual Deathwish spared no expense on this layout. Gatefold and color vinyl with a download code. This would also be in my top 5 of the year.

SQRM -- RODEO

SQRM -- RODEO on Youth Attack Records. SQRM is from the North East. I picked this up from a friend's recomendation. This might be the record of the year. Its really that good! Fast chaotic sludgy hardcore. This is the second pressing, which is already sold out. The pressing is out of 300. The cover art is great really creepy and the layout is top notch. If you have a first press on white and the test pressing let me know I def will trade or buy it.

UPSIDEDOWN RECORDS W/ MINDSET AND YOUTH CREW 2009

A few months ago Upside Down Records was doing preorders for the live Mindset lp. After a few months of waiting I felt like I needed to ask for my money back. It seemed like it wasnt ever coming out. I just simply ask the label to refund my money and behold they did. No hassle no haggling and no drama. It actually restored my faith in ordering from smaller labels again. Allot of my friends run hardcore and punk labels and are pretty much awful when it comes to mailorder.

I am still waiting on the Integrity Rot In Hell split, its been over a year. To this day I still dont understand why that label took preorders when it was clearly they were not even close and still havent put out the ep to this day.

When I got home I saw this package at my door. I opened it and it was the live Mindset lps plus the Youth Crew 2009 comp and a letter from Colby @ Upsidedown records saying sorry for the mailorder delays. He just simply sent me the records even though he already refunded my money. Thats really fucking awesome! I was pretty stoked. Much props to them and thats what allot of these indie labels lack... customer service! So again thank you again to Colby and Upside down records.

SEVEN SISTERS OF SLEEP

SEVEN SISTERS OF SLEEP. This is their debut for A389 records. I dunno how Dom even heard of them unless he saw their videos on you tube. (the video uses footage from the movie The Holy Mountain) They are from Southern California area and I have yet to see them live. This record is fucking great, if you like metal and d beat bands (ie Tragedy) then pick it up right away. Very brutal and original sounding. Allot of my friends are split on them, either they love or fucking hate it.

They are playing a few shows in the next few weeks, one of them is with Vegas and Psywarfare on March 4th @ Alladins in Pomona. Another one is with The Secret at the Echo in Echp Park.
I know this is on a few colors but I picked this up at Amoeba, gatefold, download code and heavy vinyl. Between this and Gray Ghost, A389 is definately pushing the boundaries of hardcore of quality releases.

THUG is an oi band from Australia which have members of Rose Tattoo. I picked this up from Painkiller Records, thought it was put out by Rock N Roll Disgrace. Great band and I actually bought it on a whim. My advice pick it up from Painkiller, I heard Rock N Roll is really slow.

My buddy RIFKIN sent me copies of his new bands record STICK TOGETHER. Hoodrack from War Hungry is on vocals. This is actually better then War Hungry. More in the vein of early NYHC. In fact the t shirt was brought to my attention (soul search guys) as the same color scheme as the original Straight Ahead designs. I know they are coming to play here soon, I cant wait.

Ive known Ati for a few years now. Ati used to work in the music industry as an A and R rep for Universal Music. He also used to work at Revelation Records as well. Around 91-93 are the years that these test screen prints come from if I remember
correctly, shortly after Rev first moved to the OC, New Age Records shared a
warehouse with Rev where

their stuff was distributed and the Tshirt press was shared. The best screen
print guy in the business was Dave Sine and he was a great worker for Rev and
could turn out the best prints in seconds as he was unbelievably fast. I can
recall Dave doing some of the New Age shirts when he had time, but I also
remember Mike from New Age and my brother Rob would also do

shirts after hours. New Age than moved into their own warehouse and did their
own screen printing.

In any case I found a few of the test prints that were used to make sure
everything looked great before the print was screened onto a shirt, so there was
no waste going on. Man if I can go back and grab the shitty shirts that were
also used once in awhile that had a crap load of Rev and New Age prints all in
one, that would be cool. So all I have is this left over cloth sheets that
proved Rev and New Age records shared the same screen printing machine, if
anyone cares.

1. (A) Cloth 1- This is a fun filled one: Judge logo and Mouthpiece fist on one
side-I'm pretty sure this the Judge logo used with the black Judge shirt from
the early 90's-Judge logo in the front going down along next to Mike judge for
the front of the shirt. The back of the shirt had the storm picture. The fist is
the Mouthpiece fist, but there is no X behind it..was used for many of their
shirts.

(B) Cloth 1 other side- has a big Unbroken logo, an early Mean Season
picture and lyric I think unless thats an Upfront image and lyric(anyone?) and a
New Age logo.

2. (A) Cloth 2- GB logo with the GB font..I think this was the test run for the
remake of the 7" cover shirt with this new logo on the front...shirts were
green.

(B) Cloth 2 other side- This side also has the GB logo and font, it also has
the Outspoken's name in small font with "So What", taken from their famous
shirt: "Straight Edge isn't cool anymore"

3. This cloth has the Sparkmarker flower logo with their name in small
print...This print is the same on both sides. This print could have been made in
95?

These cloth prints would look great in a glass frame, so check them out champs!!

negative approach -- friends of no one on taang records. This was actually a lost practice tape from the early 80's. I picked this up at the Taang Store in San Diego for 3 bucks. The guy who was working the counter was actually an older guy from DC. I told him I was from the suburbs of DC and we had mutual friends. He said he used to be known as Disco Dave???
I saw Negative Approach play 2 times a few years back in the LA area and it was one of the best shows I have ever been too. This ep is actually a pretty good recording. It leaked a year ago and in true Taang fashion it came out a year later on vinyl. Artwork is not my favorite but whatevers.

This is the preorder for one of the most anticipated releases from Chula Vista's own Take Offense. Reaper has another hit on their hands. Good for them taking a chance on newer bands. Record comes on color, poster and a download code. Take Offense sounds like mid era Suicidal Tendencies. They are actually better live then recorded. But the recording is actually really good on this record. Between this and the Supertouch ep, Reaper Records is on a roll.

Supertouch -- Lost my way. This ep finally has been released after a few years being recorded without vocals. Allot more rockier then the song on the Anti Matter comp. I know some either love it or hate it. Personally I think its pretty good. Reaper did a nice job and it came with a ton of stuff in the package.

My friend Andrew Black moved out here from DC. He used to drum for the Explosion, and a huge slew of bands from the east coast. He gave me his latest project which has members of Trial By Fire, Darkest Hour etc. The band is called Beast of No Nations and it is really good. Actually this is one of the better current bands on the east coast. If you like Trial By Fire and earlier Strike Anywhere then pick this up.

So Broken Needle is a HC band most compared to Uniform Choice. The band consist of members from Knife Fight, Fields of Fire, Broken Pattern, C.O.P., etc... I got the record release one at the show(silk screen cover black vinyl) and than got the White vinyl with ltd. cover from Cowabunga! Records. The other White one I got at ameoba records, oh lucky me.

Vaccine just played here in Cali and where fucking awesome. I got their new 5"(I'll post pics later) and their demo 7" tour press/3rd press on RED vinyl(also post later). All I know about this band is that they are fucking awesome, EDGE, Joe from Think I care is in it and Will Killingsworth who runs Dead Air studio is also in the band. He recorded all those awesome bands from the area like Tear it Up. That's awesome.

Ok, I first discovered this band through SOULSEEK. I somehow downloaded their Lp and was impressed. Good punk hardcore here, very snotty at times. If you have the chance look these guys up, sucks they've broken up already.

Now I love PURPOSE from New Jersey and when I found out John their singer had another band called The Break I had to check them out. I found their split with Let it Burn at ameoba a few years ago and was on the hunt for anything else they had, I than found out they had an lp before the split. So I went on ebay and low and behold I found on...sealed. I also found the split on GRAY vinyl(I already had the Blue vinyl). I gotta say, I'm loving this band its just too bad I found out about them too late. They also did an Lp for Ferret records with I can't find a physical copy of it anywhere. I got all their mp3's on my ipod and listen to them regularly. Also go and get the PURPOSE discography here

Ok, so recently Gordo at Double Cross put up a list of records he was selling to raise money for some project and on his list were these 2 Sportswear 7"s I was missing. "Keep It Together" on Yellow vinyl and "It Runs Deep" on Blue vinyl. Now I first discovered Sportswear back in '97/'98 and fell in love with the BOLD influence in the band that I had to get every pressing of any of their records. Oh yeah everyone should read Double Cross and learn some HC history. Anyone that doesn't at least check it doesn't like HC and should just listen to lady gaga instead.

Ride Nowhere repress. I picked this up for pretty cheap around 15 bucks at Amoeba Records. Ive only seen Ride perform once in DC at the old 930 Club in DC. They were on tour with LUSH and I was a Junior in Highschool in 1991.
Great Band, my girlfriend in high school took me to the show. There was a meet and greet at the Kemp Mill records in Georgetown near the old Commander Salamander. I still have the Lush Single with all of their autographs, I gave the Ride lp and CD to Jim Siege a few years later.

I gave my t shirt a few years later to Graham who was a really close friend of mine. He looked cooler in it then i ever have

hard skin -- same meat different gravy on feral ward records. This not as good as their debut record but still some pretty good oi. only 1000 of these were pressed. I picked this up at Amoeba. I also saw this record as a picture disc, but I cant stand picture discs, I put them up there with 10''s as my least favorite forms of vinyl.

Less Then Zero Soundtrack w/ Glen Danzig, Slayer, Public Enemy etc. I picked this up for 8 bucks in San Diego at a used record store around the corner from Taang records. I was with the guys from Bitter End and I was pretty stoked. Danzig recorded a song for this soundtrack.

Wow, I haven't posted on this thing in a while, what the hell happened to the beautiful layout? Oh well, whatevers all I care about are records. So these couple of month's I've gotten a some records(actually a lot of records) and here are some that worst posting. I'm gonna do LP's first and 7"s will follow once I get my lazy ass to take pics(which should take another year or so...j/k).

First is the BANE "HOLDING THIS MOMENT" 12" pressing on Hurry Up Records(Store). I love these first 3 ep's by BANE and was stoked they got pressed like this.

Second is the AMERICA'S HARDCORE COMP on Triple B Records(Store) with Backtrack, Bitter End, Cruel Hand, Eightfifteen, Fire & Ice, Foundation, Free Spirit, Power Trip, the Rival Mob, Rotting Out, Thought Crusade, Title Fight, Violent Side, and Wolf Whistle.

Frontier(s) are fucking amazing and feature members from mouthpiece and Elliot Smith. Buy here and get the limited WHITE color which are strangely still available.

Ahhh NOFX,I love this band, fuck you!(j/K). You can still get the purple one from Epitaph here along with some other limited represses from other Epitaph bands. The GOLD one is a hot topic press which I think sucks. Of course I got this one from eBay but in a way I'm contributing to the destruction of punk/hc which is what hot topic is aiming at. I fucking hate that store and hate when friends want to shop there. I just don't understand why "so-called" punk labels work with them and do limited pressing for them. They don't care about our scene/culture, they just want our money.

Missing 23rd were an awesome HC band from the late '90's and were around for a pretty long time. This is their debut LP which was released on Igby's label Mankind Records. I guess Igby still has some on clear which you can get here for $15.

Now here's a weird(well actually rare) record I acquired which I didn't know existed from Over My Dead Body. According to the Indecision website there are 103 on RED and 286 on PURPLE but no BLUE color and as you can see this is BLUE. Consider me lucky, I guess.

NEW GLORY -- BACKLASH

Released by Rock-O-Rama in 1988.

After The uprise broke up both Matt Andrews and Rob Daly went on to form this band with their Philly friends Fran Sherlock on vocals and Todd Forkin on guitar. The band only lasted for about 2 years and this was their only release. The band was anti-communist, nationalists and pro-white but they never had any racist lyrics in their songs (and whatever their views where off-stage is none of my concerne).

If you're like me a fan of early right-winged US Oi! like Arresting officers and Stars & stripes this will be right up your alley. Musically and lyricly they are very close to AO and i guess the fact that the bandmembers never went on to form non-political bands like Limecell damned them to the racistfolder for all time.
Good music is always good music for me as long as it doesnt advocate hatecrimes or racism. And this is damn good Oi! that i think many people that are scarred of the "white devil" have missed.
Best track on the record is Sarge about a war veteran that now lives on the streets "A medal for his honor but no food for him to eat".
With a cocky cover like that and the great music that it contains this one could easily be one of my top records but on some songs like Never surrender they become a bit to "on the brink" for me.
Definitely not for the weakhearted or PC people.

Last night Vaccine played the Los Angeles area. Great band with a few releases which seem to go out of print rather quickly. I picked up the 5" and both ep's. I also picked up a t shirt as well. TAKE OFFENSE -- TABLES WILL TURN RECORD RELEASE

I was with Bitter End for 4 days and one of their shows was with Take Offense. The show was at the che cafe for their new record entitled "Tables Will Turn" on Reaper Records. These were out of 100 and are on a orange color vinyl. They were literally made right before the show cause the glue was still fresh on the record. Take Offense is from the San Diego maybe Chula Vista area. Great band. The new record sounds like Suicidal Tendencies, well at least the vocals do. The new Take Offense sounds better then the last 4 ST records. Another homerun for Reaper.

I took video footage of the show, but for those who dont know Che Cafe is really poorly lit and its not the best for recording.

Ressurection on ORANGE AND WORDS TO LIVE BY COMP

Resurrection LP on orange clear vinyl..I don't recall the story behind it and
why it was made. But I recall when I got it from Mike in the early 90's he said
there is only one of these in existence and I was was excited about that. But
over time, I completely forgot about this gem and kept thinking it was the basic
clear red version as I haven't pulled it out in over 10 years(blame mp3's) So
recently I was pulling it out and it all came back to me what I actually had in
my hands. You can see a swirl shade of another color in it, but I'm content with
just calling it a clear/orange vinyl LP.

"Words to live by" comp 7". I remember my brother in the early 90's distributed
the new age catalog at shows for people to buy in San Diego. I was looking at
every color of each release and buying a few things, but this dirty brown clear
7" stood out to me and I knew and I had to have it (like almost every other
crazy hardcore collector) along with the normal clear copy.
